Principal Portfolios for Leadership and Learning, Part 2

Ah, summer! Time to kick back for some serious R & R.

OK, you’ve rested long enough. It’s time to start reflecting on the work you’ve done this year, no whining or groaning allowed.

  • Potential/Alternative Resources. Describe all resources available and why you considered them. Include all resources you considered—financial, human, and material.
  • Conflict Resolution. Describe your process for moving the opposing parties toward resolution, including how you facilitated negotiation and collaboration.
  • Reflection. Describe what were, in your opinion, the keys for the outcome. Reflect on what you learned that you could apply to future, similar situations. The Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium lists six standards for effective principals. Read more > .
